With EA revealing the latest ratings for players in their new game FIFA 14, some fans are quite surprised with the choices that have been made.
Eden Hazard for example, made his debut campaign last season. In FIFA 13, he was rated 87 whilst in FIFA 14, he has to settle for the 85 rating.
This is quite a shock as he scored 13 goals in all competitions for Chelsea from the wing last year and earned a place in the PFA Team of the Year.
David Silva is undoubtedly a world class player but he had a poor campaign last season with Manchester City yet he still gets an incredibly high 88 rating - higher than the likes of Mesut Ozil and Juan Mata.
David Luiz is regarded as one of the best all-rounders’ in the world due to his ability to pass, shoot and tackle the ball. Yet, despite having bids from Spanish giants Barcelona for him, he only gets an 82 rating, lower than loads of ordinary Premier League players.
Neymar is now regarded as one of the most talented players in world football, especially after securing a move to Barcelona this summer. Many would have predicted a high number for Brazil’s main striker yet he only gets an 84 for his rating.
Ever since Aston Villa signed Christian Benteke from Genk last year, he has been banging in the goals to keep them in the Premier league. An 81 or 82 rating would have been appropriate for the striker that scored more Premier League goals than Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero last season but he only gets 79 - the same rating as Chelsea second choice goalkeeper, Mark Schwarzer, who is 40 years old.
Frank Lampard became Chelsea’s all-time top scorer last season and is still an England international, even at the age of 35. He netted 17 times last season yet gets an 81 rating, the same as James Milner, which if you ask me, is an absolute disgrace.
So, as you can see, I personally disagree with some of the ratings given by the number one football game of all time. If there are any ratings you disagree with, comment below, I would love to know.
