In what now promises to be a great match, Steve Harper's testimonial for charity will see Sunderland chief Paolo Di Canio return to St James' Park to face Joey Barton and the Newcastle legends.
The international break is not always as boring as people predict. Sunday saw an entertaining friendly for Stiliyan Petrov at Celtic Park, where Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor did something many people have been dying to do - clatter a One Direction member.
Wednesday's charity match for veteran goalkeeper Steve Harper has just been given added spice with the late call-up of Paolo Di Canio, the charismatic Mackems boss.
According to the Mail, Di Canio, who went mad after his side's 3-0 victory over Newcastle on Tyneside in April, could return to play for the Milan legends alongside Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi and Allesandro Costacurta.
Newcastle will boast the likes of David Ginola, Nolberto Solano, Alan Shearer, Andy Cole, and of course, Joey Barton, an exciting prospect considering the personality-clash between Barton and the continental legends.
Di Canio played for Milan for two seasons, scoring six goals in 37 appearances. Harper will be donating to three separate charities in celebration of his 20-year spell with the Magpies.
