Manuel Pellegrini

The former Malaga coach was brought in to replace Roberto Mancini with a view to challenging not only for the Premier League title, but also to make City more competitive in the Champions League.

Pellegrini's predecessor paid the ultimate price for a trophy-less campaign in 2012/13, and having spent a considerable amount of investment on new players this summer, will be expected to deliver at the first time of asking.
