Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has paid tribute to teammate Frank Lampard, who will be joining the exclusive group of England centurions in tonight's World Cup qualifying clash against Ukraine.
The 32-year-old England international spoke about Chelsea favourite Lampard: "He's amazing.
"He's worked very hard over the year s and to score 20 goals nearly every season he's been playing is unbelievable."
The Chelsea midfielder, 35, will become only the eighth Three Lions player to reach this incredible milestone.
"He's one of the best midfielders England as had and one of the best the world has seen," Cole went on to say.
"I think if there's another player that does deserve it, it's him. He's never injured, he always turns up and wants to represent his country. He's looking forward to this day".
Lampard made his England debut in October 1999 under previous England manager Kevin Keegan in a 2-1 friendly win over Belgium.
Since then the Chelsea legend has gone on to score 29 times for his country and captained the Lions on five occasions
Other England centurions are Peter Shilton, David Beckham, Billy Wright, Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton and Steven Gerrard.
Despite being top of the group, England's place in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil is far from assured. Roy Hodgson's men are on level points with Montenegro but have a game in hand, while Ukraine are a point behind the leading two teams.
