According to The Mirror, Spanish giants Real Madrid will target Liverpool star Luis Suarez once again in January following their failure to capture the Uruguayan over the summer.
Real were keen on adding the 26-year-old to their squad in the summer transfer window nothing ever materialised, with Liverpool standing firm over their notion that they would reject any attempts at negotiations.
Instead Madrid spent a world-record £86million to secure the services of Welsh star Gareth Bale.
However after losing both Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Callejon in the transfer window, new boss Carlo Ancelotti is believed to be looking for a new striker.
It's now being claimed by various sources that Real want either Luis Suarez or Monaco’s Radamel Falcao and will use the £42million they received from Arsenal for Mesut Ozil to bring in one of their targets.
Suarez had an eventful summer in which many Liverpool fans would have expected him to be leaving on multiple occasions, but he insists that he was happy to remain at the club.
The Uruguayan is currently serving his 10-match ban after being punished by the FA for biting Chelsea star Branislav Ivanovic towards the end of last season.
He will return to action against rivals Manchester United in the Capital One Cup on September 25 at Old Trafford.
