With Night of Champions just six days away, Monday night raw reached it's peak as 11 time champion Edge returned in his home town of Toronto Canada.

Edge returned to host "The Cutting Edge" where he welcomed Daniel Bryan, and decided to make an enemy of current WWE Champion Randy Orton and COO Triple H.

Because Edge is not medically cleared to return to the WWE ring The Game took his frustration at The Rated R Superstar's comments out on Edge's best friend Christian.

That was the end of the segment and Edge. After a confrontation with both Triple H and The Shield he was escorted out of the arena. No heroics from the Rated R superstar, so a little bit of a pointless return if I'm honest.

The whole best for business thing is a bit of a joke, but for once they did get it right this week, Edge was a really good bit of business but I am hating the whole McMahon's vs The World saga.

Stephanie McMahon has become somewhat evil lately, rubbing salt into the wounds of both Big Show and Goldust after their problems with her husband.

Other returns included Santino Marella who got the win over a lacklustre Antonio Cesaro, and Goldust who was defending his brother's honour and trying to get Cody his job back, but he lost on both counts after an RKO from Randy Orton secured the win and signalled the end of Goldust's career.

Paul Heyman tried to fake an injury in order to withdraw from his match with CM Punk on Sunday, he even brought his own doctor but Brad Maddox brought out the WWE doctor to put an end to a very awkward skit (With the crowd chanting "this is awkward") and CM Punk came out with a kendo stick. Heyman ran, Axel got a few hits and the poor doctor took the brunt of the abuse.

The Total Divas vs the real divas continued to build with the Total Divas taking the momentum into Night of Champions with a tag team win. The only problem will be if the three total divas can remain friends when competing in a fatal four-way, I guess we will find out on Sunday.

RVD and Alberto Del Rio had no build up whatsoever, both men were in action, Del Rio against R-Truth and Rob Van Dam faced Ryback neither man came out and interrupted the other and received any promo time, so unless this will happen on Smackdown. I don't know what WWE were thinking.

I have been saying for weeks that Daniel Bryan needs a friend of someone to help him, right now it is five against one and WWE need to think about the message this is sending to kids.

Finally this week Bryan got the better of Randy and lifted the title he could win at Night of Champions after he hit the Apex Predator with a knee to the face.

So Night of Champions is this Sunday, with a loss for Randy allowing this farce to continue and a win for Bryan signalling Triple H to come out and open up another scheme.

I - like many WWE fans - just want this to be over. It is nothing short of playground bullying and I have been cringing watching the Bryan/Orton segments for the past few weeks, I hope the creative team have something big up their sleeves for Sunday otherwise I fear for WWE's future.

With Rey Mysterio also set to return in the very close future, I think next Monday's Raw will be one to look forward to.
