So, that's the official madness over and done with for another summer. With the transfer window firmly shut, Premier League managers are now largely certain of exactly which players they will have at their disposal as they look to achieve their respective goals over the next few months. 

For some fans, such as Arsenal's after the impressive capture of German playmaker Mesut Ozil, there was surprise. For others, such as Manchester United after the Red Devils only made one significant signing in the guise of combative Belgian international Marouane Fellaini, the summer was fraught with disappointment and despair. 

But the comparable calm that is now following months of hectic scrambling will surely not last for too long. As soon as the window opens up once again in January, top-flight clubs will predictably resume their frenzied pursuits of some of world football's top talents.
