Helder Postiga has hit back at claims that Neymar is the key to Brazil's success say that he is just "one part of their brilliance."

The veteran striker's comments come after Brazil swept aside Portugal 3-1 in a friendly played in Gillette Stadium, Boston.

“Neymar played very well tonight and is a fantastic player, but it's not just Neymar, this Brazil team is fantastic.” Positga told reporters.

Neymar had scored a wonderufl goal during the game, squeezing through two defenders to get into the box and with four men around him, striking the ball beyond Portugal 'keeper, Rui Patricio.

While Neymar was starring for Brazil, Portugal were missing Cristiano Ronaldo, which Postiga says hinders the squad.

"Ronaldo is an important player for Portugal. He can make the difference in any game, but it’s important we focus on the players that are here."

Portugal currently sit a point behind Russia in Group F in the World Cup Qualifying groups with two games to go and need to top the group to prevent having to go through a play-off game once again.

Meanwhile, Brazil's series of friendlies to warm up for next year's showpiece continues next month, when they will travel to Seoul for games with South Korea and Zambia.
