1. Will Hughes

Will Hughes made his Derby first-team debut at just 16, and has gone on to become an important member of their Championship side.

Hughes is often described as a "flair player" who is the one to make things happen in the middle of the park.

As well as being a creative force, Hughes is great defensively, and his work rate second to none. His only criticism would be that he doesn't score enough goals, with just 2 for Derby in over 40 appearances.

The Derby man has been linked with a host of top-flight clubs, most notably Manchester United and Liverpool, both of whom have had rumoured bids turned down.

The Derby young player of the season for 2012/13 is expected to achieve big things, and at just 18, he still has time on his side.

This year could be his real breakthrough season; so watch this space.
