As the countdown to next year's World Cup festivities in Brazil begins as we approach the last round of qualifiers, GMS thought it appropriate to have a look at some of the best South American imports to arrive on these slightly colder shores.

The amount of South American talent currently in the Premier League is substantial, with the recent arrivals of players such as Oscar, Willian, the Da Silva twins added to classics like Hernan Crespo, Kleberson and of course, Nelson Vivas.

However, despite those last couple, the glorious highs that South Americans have brought to the league most definitely outweigh the sorry lows and here are the top five of all-time.
