The England schedule for the 2014 summer has been confirmed by the ECB today with 47 days of international cricket against Sri Lanka and India.

The itinerary for the ‘Indian Summer’ was announced earlier this month and will follow after the last Test Match against Sri Lanka which finishes on Tuesday 24th June.

Captained by Angelo Mathews, the visitors arrive in the country on 9th May before taking on Essex, Kent and Sussex in limited overs tour games before the sole T20 takes place at the Kia Oval on Tuesday 20th May.

A five-game ODI series then follows at the Kia Oval, Emirates ICG Durham, Emirates Old Trafford, Lord’s and Edgbaston.

Northamptonshire then provide the opposition in a four-game warm-up to the Test series which gets under way on Thursday 12th June at the home of cricket.

The final fixture of the Sri Lanka tour takes place at Headingley Carnegie before the bumper summer continues against India.

The opening Investec Test Match begins on Wednesday 9th July with four more five-day games to follow before five ODI’s and one T20 in a relentless summer of 47 days of international cricket.
