The Costa Rican Primera Division isn’t always the go-to place for high quality goals and football.
But, Carmelita star Carlos Clark changed all that last night, scoring an outrageous overhead-kick in his side’s defeat to Limon.
Francis put the visitors in-front after just a minute, but Marrero equalised three minutes later in a frantic opening exchange.
Montoya and McLean gave the visitors a two-goal cushion before the interval, and that’s the way it stayed until Clark’s stunning 61st minute strike.
A hopeful ball chipped into the box found Clark free about 12-yards from goal, and he produced a spectacular finish that was ultimately in vain for his side.
