Mario Balotelli produces miss of the season candidate

Published Add your comment

Mario Balotelli is perhaps more well known for his off the
field antics, rather than on the field.

There is no disputing the former Manchester City striker’s talent when he decides to play to his potential. However, sometimes he loses his focus and it shows (his infamous back-heel miss against LA Galaxy).

Yesterday in Italy’s match against the Czech Republic, we saw both the good and
bad of Mr. Balotelli. He secured Italy’s spot in the World Cup converting a
penalty, but managed an incredible miss when it was easier to score.

The AC Milan man somehow ended up with the ball at his feet
from roughly six yards out. His ensuing shot was one to forget, as he
improbably managed send the ball crashing off the crossbar.

After the miss he stood in disbelief with his hands behind his head. Fortunately for Super Mario,
he was able to atone for his howler later in the match.

Check out the footage to see the impressively bad miss.
