Millwall manager Steve Lomas has pounced in the emergency loan window to sign Leicester City's Martyn Waghorn on a 93-day loan deal, reports SkySports.

Wahgorn, 23, started his career at Sunderland, before moving to Leicester in 2010 after impressing on loan the season before.

Lomas moved to secure Waghorn after being left with just one fit striker in his team. Steve Morison is set to begin his comeback from a hernia operation, whilst Jermaine Easter, Andy Keogh and Scott McDonald are all out for the unforeseen future.

That has left just John Marquis, the young English forward available for first-team selection, so Lomas has acted quickly to add some extra firepower to his side.

Millwall are second bottom in the championship, with just 2 points from 5 games and they will be hoping that the introduction of Waghorn will add to their goalscoring chances and help propel them back up the table.
