Shinji Kagawa hits out at United boss

David Moyes may have to address Shinji Kagawa’s lack of playing time.  After scoring a great goal in Japan’s 3-1 victory over Ghana on international duty voiced his displeasure about a lack of action for Manchester United so far this season.

In an interview given to the AFP news agency Kagawa declared, "Please ask David Moyes why I'm not in the side."

Kagawa then elaborated on his disappointment at a lack of first-team action for the Red Devils, revealing: "It is frustrating not playing but to score a goal like that gives me confidence.

"Hopefully I can take that back to my club with me and things will improve. It's hard not playing regularly. Some days the frustration is worse than others; it comes in waves.

"So it's nice to come back to Japan and get to play, and to score felt
good. I just have to keep working hard and keep pushing for my chance. When I get back it will be a challenge to get into the team.

"When I get back to my club I have to wait for my chance in the
Champions League and the Premier League. I'm sure my chance will come."

Kagawa again did not feature in United’s recent loss to Liverpool, and has
only managed one appearance this season, a seven minute cameo in the Community
Shield victory over Wigan.

Since being signed by Sir Alex Ferguson from Borussia Dortmund the Japan International has failed to make a serious impact, netting only 6 times, with three of those coming in a single game against Norwich City towards the end of last season.

His frustration and shortage of playing time has led to speculation that he may
return to Borussia Dortmund, where he is still loved by the fans.

However, nothing materialized before the close of the window, despite a group of supporters starting a 'Free Shinji' campaign.

So for now Kagawa will have to fight for his place in United’s squad, starting this Saturday as newly-promoted Crystal Palace visit Old Trafford.
