Being nutmegged once is bad enough, let alone twice. But one Nautico defender suffered the ignominy of being nutmegged three times by Gremio’s Maximiliano Rodríguez - in the same dribble.
Rodríguez, 22, picked up the ball on the left touchline before tucking the ball between his opponents legs. After a short burst infield, he played the ball between the same man's legs moments later, before cheekily doing it yet again to complete his stunning run.
You can probably guess what happened next. The poor Nautico defender had had enough - and duly took out the tricky winger with a, quite frankly, shocking challenge.
It resulted in a lenient yellow card, which the defender accepted with good grace, but at least it spared him the utter misery of being nutmegged for a fourth time.
Had that happened, a red-card worthy challenge would surely have followed.
