Liverpool pair Daniel Sturridge and Brendan Rodgers have scooped the Premier League player and manager of the month awards for August.
The Reds have gotten their Premier League campaign off to a flying start with three wins out of three, including a 1-0 victory over rivals Manchester United before the international break.
That run leaves them as the only unbeaten team in the division and has now also earned Rodgers' the manager of the month prize.
Key to Liverpool's success has been the form of Sturridge, who scored both his side's goals in their 1-0 wins over Stoke and Aston Villa, and claims the player of the month award for the first time in his career.
The former Chelsea man, who moved to Anfield in January, has now scored 10 goals in 14 top-flight appearances for his new club.
Both Rodgers and Sturridge will have the chance to help Liverpool maintain their perfect start to the season when they travel to the Liberty Stadium to take on Swansea on Monday.
