Premier League duo Philippe Coutinho and Wilfried Zaha have earned nominations for the 2013 Golden Boy award.
Other nominations for the award include Julian Draxler, Paul Pogba, and Raphaël Varane
The prestigious award is handed to Europe's best youngster under 21 each year, with Real Madrid ace scooping the award last year for his performances with Malaga.
Previous winners of the award, which is voted for by a panel of journalists from some of Europe's leading newspapers include Lionel Messi, Mario Balotelli, Cesc Fabregas and Wayne Rooney.
Zaha is a surprise inclusion on the shortlist given that he only joined Manchester United in the summer and spent last season with then-Championship outfit Crystal Palace.
Coutinho meanwhile has impressed since joining Liverpool from Inter Milan, and has helped his new side to the top of the Premier League after three games, as well as picking up five assists in 12 games last season.
Pogba meanwhile has excelled at Juventus since leaving Manchester United last summer, and has established himself as a key member of France's midfield as they seek qualification for the 2014 World Cup.
The winner of the award, which is run by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, will be announced in December.
