Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski has angrily denied claims made by Jacksonville Jaguars rival Josh Scobee that he is rooting for MLB outfit Oakland Atheltics to miss the play-offs so that the raiders can have full use of the stadium they share.

The rift between the pair started when Scobee told the Florida Times-Union that Janikowski hopes every season that the Athletics miss the play-off so the baseball diamond at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum can be removed altogether.

Now has hit back at Scobee over the claims, saying he was fuming over his comments.

"I was pissed off," Janikowski told the San Fran Chronicle on Thursday, insisting Scobee is lying, and that he attends A's games "all the time."

"Whatever he says just blows my mind," he continued. "That didn't happen. Hell no. I just want to let you know. ... I kicked 14 years on it, it really doesn't bother me."

The pair will have the chance to duke it out on the surface in question this weekend when the Raiders take on the Jaguars on Sunday.
