Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers and striker Daniel Sturridge have collected the manager and player of the month awards for August.
It caps off a perfect start to the season for the Reds, where Rodgers side have won all three of their opening fixtures to take an early lead at the summit of the Premier League table.
Sturridge has started the season in scintillating form, netting the only goal in each of Liverpool's league games so far, including an early header to down champions Manchester United almost a fortnight ago.
The January signing from Chelsea also scored a brace to help Liverpool squeeze past Notts County after extra time in the League Cup.
His performances have meant the Reds haven't missed last year's top scorer Luis Suarez, who continues to serve his suspension for infamously biting the arm of Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
40-year-old Rodgers last took a manager of the month crown whilst at Swansea City, who he left to succeed Kenny Dalglish at Liverpool before last season.
The Northern Irishman could only lead the Anfield side to seventh in the league last year, but strengthened the side with eight new signings during the summer, and early signs for the campaign look promising.
Simon Mignolet, Rodgers' fourth summer addition, saved a last minute penalty to give Liverpool victory over Stoke on the opening day.
And Rodgers has since guided Liverpool to victory over Aston Villa and Manchester United respectively, courtesy of Sturridge's goal-scoring exploits.
The Reds' manager is confident his striker will recover from a thigh injury in time to face former club Swansea on Monday.
