Manchester United manager David Moyes does not have a return date for striker Wayne Rooney, who continues his recovery from a head injury.
The England international suffered a nasty gash to his head following an accidental training ground collision with teammate Phil Jones – and Moyes is not sure whether he will be fit to face local rivals Manchester City a week on Sunday.
"He is in great physical shape," Moyes told reporters, before adding: "Obviously he has a cut right in the middle of his forehead which could split because the skin is very thin.
"But he has had his stitches out and it has knitted.
"We just have to see where the level of risk is with his injury."
Rooney featured in Manchester United's first two matches of the season against Swansea City and Chelsea but missed the Red Devils' 1-0 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield earlier this month due to his head injury.
United take on Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime, before their opening Champions League group stage match against Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday evening.
