Arsenal's record signing Mesut Ozil will start for the Gunners against Sunderland this afternoon, according to BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein.
The Germany international, who completed his £42.4m move from Real Madrid to the Emirates Stadium on the final day of the summer transfer window, has recovered from illness to make his first start for the north London outfit.
Jack Wilshere also starts for Arsenal, but Spain international Santi Cazorla is not involved after picking up a knock on international duty.
Thomas Vermaelen is reportedly on the bench, while Bacary Sagna is set to fill in for Per Mertesacker – who did not travel because of illness – at the heart of defence alongside Laurent Koscielny as captain.
Arsenal have picked up six points from their opening three matches – an opening day defeat to Aston Villa was followed by victories over Fulham and local rivals Tottenham.
Sunderland, meanwhile, are still looking for their first victory of the 2013/14 campaign.
