The NFL has seen its fair share of 'brotherly battles' on the gridiron in recent history.
Last season concluded with a dramatic showdown between Jim and John Harbaugh as they coached their teams against one another for the chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
The setting, family and occasion are different on this occasion, but Sunday will be another 'clash of the brothers' in the National Football League. This time, the Manning brothers will face off against each other for the third time in their careers.
For the six years that both Eli and Peyton have been in the league together, the media has never ceased comparing the two. We could go on endlessly about the accomplishments of both quarterbacks. What really matters in this match-up is which brother will lead his team to victory.
Peyton and the Denver Broncos silenced the defending Superbowl champion Baltimore Ravens last week on national television and look to get off to a 2-0 start. Eli and the New York Giants look to get back on track after losing their opening game to the Dallas Cowboys.
Both brothers have dynamic receivers that will make the game enjoyable to watch. The key for the Broncos defence is to find a way to limit Eli Manning. This is an incredibly tough task, but it is mandatory for the Broncos to win.
The Giants defence will have a tough time containing all of the receiving targets that Peyton Manning can throw to. The goal for the Giants is to hold Peyton to short yardage plays.
The expectations for the Denver Broncos this season are enormous. While it is uncertain if this will be Peyton's final season, the pressure is on for the Broncos to hoist the Lombardi trophy.
Eli has two Superbowls in his six seasons in the NFL. The Giants now have the Washington Redskins to handle, as well as rejuvenated Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys franchises in the NFC East, meaning they can ill-afford to slip to 0-and-2 at this early stage.
The heat of the season is well underway and this match-up will definitely live up to the hype it has been receiving.
