Manchester City target audacious swoop for United star

Published Add your comment

Manchester City are lining up an ambitious move to land Manchester United's most promising youngster Adnan Januzaj, .

The brilliant young midfielder's contract runs out at the end of the season and David Moyes wants to make sure he doesn't become the third United youngster to jump ship in recent seasons.

Ravel Morrison joined West Ham in 2012 and midfielder Paul Pogba joined Juventus last season.

This will hardly endear United fans to Ed Woodward after the disastrous transfer window which saw Moyes land just one of his main targets.

Manchester City will be happy to bide their time with this deal, but with the youngster able to talk to a host of foreign clubs in January, it will be the first thing on Moyes' desk tomorrow morning.

The youngster came on in yesterday's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and he was one of United's standout performers in pre-season, so they will be loath to lose him, especially to their city rivals.
