Kid Galahad won the British super bantamweight title after an epic 10-round fight with the previously unbeaten Jazza Dickens in Rotherham.

Dickens started well as he caught Galahad with a big shot in the opening round and the fight was still extremely tight going into the sixth round, but from then on Galahad slowly got a grip of the bout and took control.

Galahad was then on top, landing numerous shots on Dickens in the ninth, when the referee docked a point for Galahad's persistent pulling. That looked to give Dickens a short lease of life as he ended the ninth round strongly.

But Galahad took a weary Dickens to pieces in the 10th round, landing numerous huge shots. Dickens bravely withstood all of them until a huge left hand caught him and sent him crashing to the mat. Dickens made the count but his corner threw in the towel.
