So a round two battle between Galatasaray and Real Madrid takes place tonight, with the sides meeting for the first time since their clashes in the latter stages of the Champions League last season.
With Madrid beating Galatasaray 3-0 at the Bernabeu the first time around and Galatasaray beating Madrid 3-2 at the Turk Telekom Arena in the second leg, it is clear to see that if the recent encounters between these sides are anything to go by, then we know we are in for a treat again.
Madrid have added Gareth Bale to their squad, who on his debut scored the first goal for Madrid in their draw against Villarreal, however the big boost for Galatasaray is the fact that they were able to keep their star player Burak Yilmaz at the club, alongside other additions and the rest of their squad.
Everybody knows that the Turk Telekom arena is a difficult place to go and with the team that Galatasaray have, Madrid could be in for a tough time over the two group stage games.
Galatasaray will not be the team to sit back, they will look to take the game to Madrid and the 12th player for Galatasaray, being the fans, offer a big advantage.
The fans will make their voices heard in the hope to help draw the team forward for another big win against Madrid, and the Los Blancos stars will definitely know they will be playing in hostile territory tonight.
Last time around Galatasaray's number 10, Wesley Sneijder, won the man of the match for his roles throughout the game as he assisted Emmanuel Eboue for Galatasaray's first goal.
Sneijder also got his name on the score sheet that night as he helped his team register a big 3-2 win. Here's to hoping he can do the same this time around.
No matter what happens we know we should be in for a good night of football whenever these two teams meet.
