Steve Bruce is delighted to have summer signing Gedo available after the Egyptian striker finally received a visa, allowing him to complete his move to Hull.
The Tigers had agreed terms with Gedo and his club Ah Ahly over a season-long loan in August, but the player had been unable to link up with his new side until a visa had been granted.
Gedo had a loan spell at the KC Stadium last season, has now resolved the issue, much to the delight of Bruce, who told Sky Sports: "Knowing that Gedo is on his way to us at last is a huge boost."
"There was a time when I genuinely feared we wouldn't be seeing him until Christmas."
28-year-old Gedo was a key figure for Bruce's men during his time on Humberside last season, netting five goals in twelve appearances as the club returned to the Premier League for the first time since being relegated in 2010.
Bruce's side have struggled to trouble the scoresheet this season, having scored from open play just once in their opening four fixtures, and Gedo's ability in front of goal will certainly be a welcome addition.
"We know, from having him here last season, that he has got goals in him and that he is a class finisher. I believe he has the quality to be a regular scorer in the Premier League," added Bruce.
The arrival of Gedo will create competition for Danny Graham and Yannick Sagbo who have yet to register for the Tigers since summer arrivals from Sunderland and Evian respectively.
