Inter Milan are interested in signing Manchester City target Pedro Obiang from domestic rivals Sampdoria, according to talkSPORT.
21-year-old Obiang, who has won two caps for the Spanish U21s, is a key member of the first-team squad at Stadio Luigi Ferraris and his excellent form since arriving at the club from Atletico Madrid in 2008 has seen him become the subject of persistent speculation linking him with a move to a number of European football's top clubs.
Manchester City, now under the management of popular Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, were widely rumoured to be interested in the midfielder, along with Marseille, Juventus and Napolit, who talkSPORT believe is valued at around the £10 million mark.
And according to the radio station's sources in Italy, Serie A giants Inter, who currently lie third in the table after winning two of their first three domestic fixtures this season, now have first refusal on Obiang's services that was agreed as part of the deal that saw former Barcelona striker Mauro Icardi move to the San Siro during the summer.
