Champions League returns! The best goals from last night

Published 1 Comments

The Champions League came back with a bang last night as the cream of the European crop set off on journeys they hope will end up in one glorious night in Lisbon next May.

Of course with so many good teams in action last night there was always likely to be a few gems scored, and the likes of Yaya Toure, Cristiano Ronaldo and Isco didn't disappoint.

But while all three netted with sublime efforts there is certainly a case for a more unheralded player to be honoured with the illustrious title that is, erm, "the best goal of Tuesday night."

Former Manchester City player Vladimir Weiss scored an absolute stunner in Olympiakos's 4-1 defeat against PSG last night. Picking up the ball on the right he tricked his way past two defenders before slamming the ball into the back of the net.

Watch his goal above and the best of the rest from last night below, and then have your say on which one you think is best in the comment section!

Cristiano Ronaldo v Galatasaray

Yaya Toure v Viktoria Plzen

Isco v Galatasaray

Robin van Persie v Bayer Leverkusen
