Absolutely adore him or positively loath him, Jose Mourinho is a managerial behemoth whose influence over the game across the European continent has been simply unrivalled in recent seasons.

During his first spell as manager of Chelsea, the Portuguese brought success to Stamford Bridge. In winning two Premier League crowns and one FA Cup, the Blues were permanently transformed into credible and consistent title contenders.

His formidable winning streak continued after his somewhat controversial departure from West London in September 2007, with the 50-year-old taking his extensive talents to Serie A with Inter Milan.

Having won two domestic crowns and one Champions League trophy at the San Siro, Mourinho was appointed as the next illustrious name chosen to inherit the poisoned chalice at the Santiago Bernabeu. He largely failed to achieve his desired aims in three years with Real Madrid however, despite winning one La Liga title.

Now, following a six-year exile, Mourinho is back at the club he considers home and where he is widely loved and appreciated in equal measure.

Here, GMS will list five of Mourinho's best signings during his time at Stamford Bridge. Please feel free to comment on our choices and leave your own suggestions below...
