Manchester United fans had been desperate for David Moyes to hand Shinji Kagawa his first competitive start under his tenure.
They were appalled at seeing the Japanese midfielder being shunned and even left in the stands while the likes of Ryan Giggs and Tom Cleverley were first-team regulars.
Kagawa was last night given the opportunity to impress Moyes - but failed to really live up to his high expectations.
His performance has prompted me into naming five current or former Premier League players - who have failed to make a real impact in the top-flight of English football despite moving to the Premier League with a high reputation.
