The quarterback hotseat (5)

Published Add your comment

Robert Griffin III - Washington Redskins

Perhaps the most bizarre choice to be on the hotseat but RG3 himself is on it, surprisingly so after his hero's welcome on his return against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Some fans took to texting SportsNet about their grievances with RG3's performances and that the Redskins should put Kirk Cousins in charge of the offence, at least until RG3 is fully healed.

With that logic, it's kind of understandable. Yet when you look at the stats, RG3 has thrown for 320 and 329 passing yards games with five TDs and 3 INTs total, the requests seem a bit out of a place for a man who is recovering from a torn ACL.

Kirk Cousins has looked good but he hasn't looked that good and to put the blame solely at RG3's feet would be ridiculous. The defence is in shambles and the running game took a huge blow when Alf Morris went down hurt.

All said and done - RG3 stays on this list because coach Mike Shanahan has a history of 'Shanahanigans' went it comes to selecting his players and if he doesn't feel RG3 is 100% ready to go, he could be headed to the bench until he heals.
