Mesut Ozil sings in front of Arsenal squad at initiation

Mesut Ozil has been snapped standing on a chair being made to sing a song for Arsenal his Initiation.

The former Real Madrid player looks sheepish in front of his new team mates as he was forced to belt out a song. Even the £42.4 million signing could not get away from the old age rule of the football club initiation

This photo taken by Arsenal youth player Chuba Akpom was unfortunately the evidence of Ozil's initiation ceremony into Arsenal.

Although it has not been revealed what the German International chose to sing.

Speaking last week at his first press conference since signing for the Gunners, Ozil expressed his excitement at joining Arsenal and playing in the Premier League: "I had a very good time in Madrid.. but I have made the next step, I'm in the strongest league in the world."

After completing his initiation the 24-year-old midfielder is now a fully fledged member of Arsene Wenger's side.
