Jose Mourinho has expressed his love for Chelsea although claims his affection for the club and the city of London does not make his wife jealous that she is not getting the devotion she deserves.
The Portuguese returned for second stint with the Blues this summer having left his position with Real Madrid, and comes back to the club he remembers most fondly over the course of his illustrious management career.
Mourinho has always made clear his feelings for Chelsea, and his fondness for the west London club is reciprocated by the fans, given the 50-year-old's successful first spell in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Despite his adoration of Chelsea, however, Mourinho says he still has plenty of room in his heart to to love his wife, who does not feel envious about her husband's commitment to his club.
"I love Chelsea, the football club and I love the city," Mourinho told reporters.
He added: "No, my wife is not jealous. She knows I love her very much."
Mourinho may be in love with Chelsea but, so far, he has been unable to transfer his relationship with the club into something fruitful on the pitch, with the Blues enduring an inconsistent start to the season.
Chelsea suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Basel in their opening fixture of the Champions League - their first loss at Stamford Bridge in the competition for 29 games.
