Manchester United have confirmed that Jesse Lingard has completed a temporary loan move to Championship outfit, Birmingham City.
The Red Devils took to Twitter to confirm the switch, with Lingard linking up with Lee Clark's men until the middle of October.
The statement read: "MUFC and Birmingham City have agreed a one-month loan deal for Jesse Lingard.
"He can play for the Blues up to and including 20 October.
"Lingard, 20, hasn't made a first-team appearance for mufc yet but impressed hugely on this summer's pre-season tour."
Along with Adnan Januzaj, the Warrington-born midfielder is one of Manchester United's brightest academy prospects and is tipped to make the breakthrough at Old Trafford.
David Moyes has high hopes for Lingard and has sent the 20-year-old out on loan in a bid to gain first-team experience with Birmingham.
Lingard has already taken in a brief spell of Championship football with Leicester, having moved to Leicester last season.
The move was ultimately unsuccessful however - Lingard only made five appearances and failed to impress at the Walkers Stadium.
However, the United starlet has penned a one-month loan deal with the Blues and it's hoped that the rigours of Championship football will help the United youngster continue his football development.
Lingard is set to feature in Birmingham's next league fixture, as they play host to Dave Jones' Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
