Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj is keeping Red Devils fans on tenterhooks as the Premier League champions attempt to tie him to a new contract, but it is not his club career that is the subject of great interest.
Januzaj was born in Belgium to Albanian parents, making the young midfielder eligible to play for two international sides and, as of yet, he has not committed to either country, even at youth level.
The teenager has not played international football of any kind, and has resisted repeated calls from Belgian to join their youth sides, while Albania retain the hope that he will eventually decide to play for them at senior level.
With the Manchester United playmaker's future unclear, Albanian fans are attempting to take matters into their own hands by starting a social media campaign in the hope of influencing Januzaj's decision making.
As initially reported by Sport Witness, over 34,000 fans have signed up to a Facebook page urging the 18-year-old to commit to Albania over Belgium, although it remains unclear what the player will decide.
His progression with Manchester United will undoubtedly increase the clamour for Januzaj to pledge his international allegiances, with the the youngster expected to be given further first-team opportunities at Old Trafford by David Moyes this season.
