WWE fans demand, and get, refunds over PPV results
Is it what's best for business?
Outraged fans have demanded their money back from cable companies after the result of the Night of Champions PPV main event was overturned on Monday night.
Fans who tuned into Night of Champions pay-per-view saw Daniel Bryan win the WWE Title back from Randy Orton after he was screwed out of title at Summerslam but the following night, Chief Operating Officer, Triple H stripped Bryan of his title.
This has left some fans furious and according to PWInsider, they've phoned up and got a refund from Cox Cable.
Writer Dave Scherer says that his provider is Cox Cable and he phoned and confirmed with the company that they'd supplied the refunds under the premise that the ending of the show they got was invalidated by the events on RAW the next night.
It seems bizarre that in 2013 a customer can get their money back because they didn't like the storyline of a scripted drama and for Cox Cable, it could open up a can of worms in terms of refunding for frivolous complaints.
