Everton boss Roberto Martinez believes Romelu Lukaku and Everton will share a 'perfect marriage' this season.
Lukaku joined the Toffees from Chelsea on a season long loan on transfer deadline day but is yet to make his debut.
The move was considered a strange one as Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho insisted for most of the summer that the young Belgian would be staying at Stamford Bridge.
Due to the international break and Everton's game against Mourinho's men last week, Lukaku has had to wait almost three weeks to represent Everton.
However, that wait is likely to come to an this weekend as Everton take on West Ham at Upton Park on Saturday.
And Martinez believes the 20-year-old will be a great asset to the squad.
He told reporters: "I have been very impressed with Romelu.
"We have seen him develop into a top striker from the outside: at 16 he came through the ranks at Anderlecht and all of a sudden you can see the potential.
"When you get to work with him you can see he is a very mature boy after his experiences.
"He is really intelligent with good football knowledge and above everything he has a huge desire to succeed and that is exactly what we need in the dressing
"What he brings is something we haven’t got and that always excites you as a manager."
Lukaku will look to build on last season's performance which saw him scored 17 goals for West Brom, leading to a PFA Young Player of the Year nomination.
"Looking at what he did last season he is capable of working and improving on that," Martinez added.
"That is our target. He is still very young and we hope it can be a perfect marriage over the next 10 months."
