After suffering two consecutive defeats against Premier League side, Everton FC and Swiss side FC Basel 1893, Chelsea have now failed to win any of their last four fixtures and questions have been raised over the state of the current Chelsea side.

Manager Jose Mourinho has relayed fears that it is a temporary loss of form. But isn’t too early in the season to be off form? Or has the special one lost his magical touch?

The team’s best player for the past two seasons, Juan Mata has been benched in favour of some new attacking starlets, though it must be remembered that Mourinho doesn’t have a clear starting eleven.

Still, Mata does not seem to be a player in Mourinho’s plans this season as he has played just 65 minutes of football this season. This pales in comparison to the man who notched 18 goals and 34 assists in 64 appearances in a Blue shirt last season.

Mourinho has admitted his team doesn't have the 'maturity and personality to deal with certain pressures of the game.'

The special one has already described Chelsea players as young eggs but the question is, will owner Roman Abramovich wait for the eggs to hatch? The next few games will show if this Chelsea side is not in form or if the 'special one' has lost his touch.
