Everton manager Roberto Martinez is anticipating a sparkling relationship between Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku and his new club.
The Belgian prodgidy joined the Toffees in the closing hours of the summer transfer window, after Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho bought in Samuel Eto'o from Anzhi Makhachkala.
Mourinho stated that he could not promise Lukaku consistent playing time, so to aid his development, he agreed a loan move to Merseyside would benifit his development.
Lukaku looks set to make his debut for Everton this weekend, when his side will face a West Ham side that have made a solid start to the season.
But former Swansea and Wigan manager Martinez is confident that Lukaku is the right man to fire Everton to a top six finish this season.
Speaking to reporters, he said: "I have been very impressed with Romelu. We have seen him develop into a top striker from the outside: at 16 he came through the ranks at Anderlecht and all of a sudden you can see the potential."
"When you get to work with him you can see he is a very mature boy after his experiences.
"He is really intelligent with good football knowledge and above everything he has a huge desire to succeed and that is exactly what we need."
