Tottenham Hotspur cruised to a 3-0 win over Tromso in their opening Europa League Group K fixture.

Goals from Jermaine Defoe and Chrisitan Eriksen were enough to secure a comfortable victory at White Hart Lane last night.

With just five minutes left to play, Eriksen picked the ball up from a Kyle Naughton pass on the edge of the box. He moved the ball out of his feet before unleashing a superb curling effort that caught the Tromso keeper unaware, with no chance of saving it.

Tottenham will be hoping this is just the start of big things to come from their newly signed Danish international.

The £11m deadline day signing from Ajax could prove to be one of the signings of the season.
