Over the years some of the greatest footballers in the world have donned on a red jersey and played for the Red Devils.

Once every so often an extra special player like George Best and Cristiano Ronaldo comes along who possess such outstanding talent and showmanship they have left crowds at Old Trafford in awe.

Former United manager and legend Sir Alex Ferguson has been openly critical in the past about the capacity of which some world class stars showboat but the beautiful game would not be half as magical if players were forced to reign in their flair.

GMS takes a look at United's greatest showboaters and their fancy footwork...

George Best

The Belfast boy was a wizard with a ball at his feet. George Best dazzled crowds home and away with his charisma and individual skill. The United legend had incredible showmanship that made him a favourite with the media and Old Trafford faithful.

Ronaldo

The Portuguese star regularly caused panic amongst the oppositions defence with his step-overs. The striker's unique flair and extreme pace made him a formidable opponent for any world class defence he comes up against.

Rooney

The youngster burst onto the Old Trafford scene in 2004, scoring a hat-rick in his debut for the Red Devils. This was a sign of things to come for Rooney as nearly a decade he continues to delight fans and wow crowds with his fancy footwork and ability to score stunning goals. 

Nani

This video shows Nani's famous seal dribble. The United midfielder showed exquisite skill during the FA Cup 4-0 win over Arsenal. Nani infuriated the opposition by pulling off the outrageous 'seal dribble' during which he juggled the ball with his head while on the move
