Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs has been included in UEFA's official Champions League Team of the Week - alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Gibbs' performance against Marseille earned him the plaudits of both the French and English press, and his solid display at both ends of the pitch has been noticed by the official UEFA website.
Gibbs has been an ever-present for Arsenal this season, with understudy Nacho Monreal only making substitute appearances on the Arsenal left wing.
Despite his fantastic performances for the Gunners this season and last, Gibbs has just two appearances for England. This is due mainly to the form and pedigree of fellow Gunners academy product Ashley Cole and Everton defender Leighton Baines.
Born in Lambeth, Gibbs started as a left winger, and played backup to Gael Clichy before teh Frenchman's sale to Manchester City. Gibbs also has one Champions League goal for the club - coming against Fenerbahce in this season's play-off third round.
Arsenal host Stoke City on Sunday, with Gibbs expected to start. The Gunners are hoping to continue an impressive run of results, with just one defeat since March. This has included a club record 10 consecutive away wins.
