Chelsea starlet Josh McEachran will link up with a Stamford Bridge legend having joined Gianfranco Zola's Watford on loan.

The official Chelsea website have revealed the young midfielder will be with the Hornets until January 2nd, and follows in the footsteps of another Chelsea youth product, Nathaniel Chalobah, who spent last season at Vicarage Road.

The arrival of Dutch youngster Marco Van Ginkel pushed McEachran further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and Jose Mourinho has decided his young star will benefit from time away from West London.

This will be McEachran's third temporary move having spent time at Middlesbrough last season and enjoying a stint at Swansea during the back end of the 2011/2012 season.

An expert passer, McEachran has the vision and technique to make the grade at Stamford Bridge and his time in the Championship can only help him get to grips with the rigours of regular first team football.

Now 20, McEachran made his debut for the Blues at just 17 and has gained 13 caps for England's Under 21's.
