Top ten: January's most wanted (10)

2- Juan Mata

The signing of Juan Mata would be a coup for any of Chelsea's title rivals, yet it has become a very realistic possibility.

If Mourinho fails to give Mata the playing time he craves then one gets the notion that he may opt to leave sooner rather than later and, with a host of world-class sides all ready to snap him up, it doesn't take a genius to label him as one of the most desirable properties in world football.

Tottenham, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked at various stages with the Spanish maestro, and it's this sort of interest that might tempt Mourinho into selling.
