Top five: Premier League attacking pairs (6)

Daniel Sturridge & Luis Suarez – Liverpool

Suarez should return in the League Cup against Manchester United on Wednesday, but it will take a while for him to get back into the swing of things at Anfield. Sturridge has been more than a suitable stand in, but he is still likely to make way for the Uruguayan.

The good thing about this pair is that they can both play wide as well as though the middle and both have a creative streak that can open up defences for themselves or others. Brendan Rodgers will have to work to accommodate both players but it could end up being a very fruitful partnership.
