Udinese are looking to beat Manchester United in the race to sign Brazilian youngster Bruno Gomes, according to The Express.
The striker, who had a trial at the Red Devils last season, was expected to join the Old Trafford outfit when he turned 18.
United hold first refusal for the Desportivo Brazil starlet but after Sir Alex Ferguson was a big admirer of the player, David Moyes seems less convinced.
However, if Desportivo receive a bid above a certain level for the youngster then they still have the option to sell and with reports in Italy suggesting Udinese are willing to pay whatever it takes for the starlet, United could miss out on his services.
Udinese want the player to replace Luis Muriel, who looks set to depart the club in the near future. The Colombian ace was a target of Liverpool's in the summer, and the Reds could still make another move for the star.
