Here is a look at four players Joseph Stuart considers to be the best current Premier League players who are born in the month of September.
The players include the Premier League's current tied top scorers, as well as one of Chelsea's standout performers this season.
Daniel Sturridge - Liverpool (1st September - 24 years old)
The pacey dribbler has been set alight after his move to Anfield in January of this year. The 24-year-old has been a great signing by Brendan Rodgers, with a fantastic start to the new campaign.
Sturridge netted four goals in Liverpool's first four games, the first three all being the winning (and only) goal of the game.
Currently tied to be the Premier League's top scorer, he is surely going to continue to shine this season and lead the Liverpool front line scoring plenty of goals.
Oscar - Chelsea (9th September - 22 years old)
The man-in-form as Jose Mourinho would put it in different words. Being picked over Juan Mata in any team would put serious pressure on you and Oscar has surely been able to prove his worth.
Running the heart of Chelsea's attacking midfield trio, Oscar is seemingly becoming a Mourinho favourite. Recently scoring Chelsea's first goal in a 2-0 win over Fulham, at just 22 years of age Oscar is still growing and developing as a footballer.
Pulling off tricks for fun, possessing a great first touch and having an eye for a great pass as well as a goal, Oscar looks set to become a dangerous player for Chelsea in many years to come.
Per Mertesacker - Arsenal (29th September - 29 years old)
The 6ft 6in defender is no joke when it comes to solid defending. A towering figure at the centre of Arsenal's back four, Mertesacker is trouble for any Premier League striker on his day.
Signing for the Gunners in the late summer of 2011, the German has made 58 league appearances for Arsenal since his move.
Picking up a clean sheet in Arsenal's recent London derby against Spurs, Mertesacker should be watched as he looks to impress both in Arsenal's defence, but also as a dying moment striker with his aerial ability a real nuisance for opposition players.
Olivier Giroud - Arsenal (30th September - 27 years old)
The Premier League's other top scorer along with Daniel Sturridge is also born in September. Giroud has been fantastic since a rather poor first season with Arsenal.
The Frenchman looks more comfortable on the pitch every time he steps out and has been an influential part of Arsenal's solid start to the season. A fantastic header of the ball who also has an acute eye for goal, Giroud is surely going to continue shining for Arsenal in what seems to be a much better season to come compared to last year.
A goal in each of Arsenal's first four games is a promising start to the campaign for Giroud.
