Everyone knows that Derrick Rose is, when at his best, an NBA superstar. He is the most athletic and most explosive point guard in the league.

After Rose tore his ACL in the 2012 playoffs, no one could be 100% sure that he would ever come back as athletic and explosive as he once was or be able to compete at the MVP level.

If Rose can't come back with the level of skill and determination that he had in the 2010-11 season which elevated him above players like Kevin Durant and LeBron James and helped him win the MVP award, then he might not be able to get the Chicago Bulls to where they expect to be in the 2013-14 season.

But, if Rose can come back with even half of the talent and determination he had three years ago, his All-Star teammates such as Joakim Noah and Luol Deng could definitely get the Bulls to the NBA finals and could even help them to win the championship.

But how can Rose come back hard and help the Bulls to the finals?

First of all, Rose has to shake off all the pressure and when he steps on the court in the first game of the season against the Miami Heat on October 29, he has to take it all in and play with all of his heart.

A lot of his comeback depends on this game. If he can lead the Bulls to a win against the reigning champions, the question 'will Rose be able to play the way he did before he tore his ACL?' will be forgotten and everyone will be a believer.

They will believe that Rose is as good as he was three years ago and they'll believe that the Bulls will be able to make it far in the postseason. But, if Rose comes out and has a horrifying game, he will be the talking point around the NBA world and no-one will be saying anything nice about him.

In fact, he will be criticised immensely. He will be criticised based on the fact that the Bulls were able to end the Miami Heat's 27-game win streak last year and if the Bulls can't beat the Heat with Rose, some fans might be thinking Rose could be slowing down the Bulls.

Rose's injury was horrible and tragic for the Bulls but if there was something good that can be taken from it, it would be the emergence of Jimmy Butler.
