New Liverpool signing Mamadou Sakho says he wants to return to Paris Saint-Germain in the future.

The central defender completed his move to Liverpool during the summer transfer window for a reported £15 million.

Sakho, who made his debut in the 2-2 draw against Swansea and also featured in Liverpool's 1-0 home defeat against Southampton on Saturday, returned for to the Parc des Princes for his former side's fixture against Monaco on Sunday.

Speaking before PSG's 1-1 draw with their big-spending rivals, the Liverpool defender said: "I'm very proud to come here tonight. I remember when I was young, I was up there, there in the stands and watched PSG play.

"I have now turned a page. My story with PSG isn't over yet."

Sakho came through the ranks at PSG but found first-team action hard to come by with the likes of Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Alex at the reigning Ligue 1 champions, which prompted his deadline day move to Liverpool.
